The Wolverine is too big for this small story

The Wolverine is the most popular character from Marvel’s X-Men franchise for a reason. His story is the most developed and he is Everyman and Superman wrapped up into one, but this installment from director James Mangold is a predictable plot that doesn’t have an impact on the X-men in any way, except for his relationship with Jean Grey. If you didn’t like her relationship with Logan, then you are going to hate her in this film. Logan finds himself in Japan protecting a beautiful young woman from the Yakuza, Ninjas, and Samurai. I am a huge martial art fan, but I was very disappointed with the fight choreography and action sequences. Not to mention, one of Japan’s greatest stars, Hiroyuki Sanada having to play a dishonorable character. I did it right though and went to the drive-ins to see this summer blockbuster, but The Wolverine is too big for this small story.
