The Black Hole (short film) will stick with me

Photoplay Films creates a clever short about an office worker discovering a black hole while making photocopies.  At first, it is a novelty, but after a few attempts of sticking his hand inside the hole, the office worker begins to think of bigger and better things. Unfortunately, he does not understand the reach of his new found power and finds himself absorbed with greed, which will  lead him to an unsafe place.  The story is tight and is does not waste time trying to explain. Everything is communicated visually through action.  Director Diamond Dogs’ attention to detail creates the perfect scenario for this idea to work. The office in the background establishes this monotony of the character’s life while his wardrobe and hair emphasize his desperation for change. For a 2:22 run time, the director thinks of everything, which I can appreciate because the smallest things can make the biggest difference. The Black Hole will stick with me for some time.
